We begin a brand new sermon series entitled Ecclesiology: The Study and Life of the Church. The word ecclesiology comes from the Greek Word ekklesia which means the assembly, the gathering of the called out ones. As followers of Jesus Christ, we have been called out of this world into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Head of the church, and He is building His church that has been laid on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, which Jesus being our chief cornerstone. God has also appointed pastors/elders and teachers today to preach and teach His word to equip the saints. We will also look at the book of Titus and see the appointment of elders and look at God’s plan for all the members of the body of Christ to actively participate in discipleship.
