As Christians it is true that we are not called to be legalistic, but we are called to holiness. Holiness involves obedience and it involves being consistently faithful to Christ. In this message, we focus on the spirit of the law and how it is about honoring God and understanding the deeper meaning of His commandments. The apostle Paul was teaching the Christians in the early church to respect and honor the convictions of other brothers and sisters in Christ. The bottom line is that we are called to look out for others and seek to avoid doing anything that would cause our brothers and sisters in Christ to stumble.
