As Paul is writing to the believers in Rome, he makes it clear that we were slaves to sin, but not now we are slaves to righteousness in Christ. Our God want us to mortify the flesh, and this can only happen when we allow the Spirit of God to overtake our flesh. This life is all about choices, and are we making choices to glorify God or glorify self.
