In Ezekiel Ch. 34, we see God's rebuke to the pre-exilic leaders of Israel. God said "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks." Jesus is our Good Shepherd and our Lord appoints under-shepherds to feed, care, and tend His flock. We must take this seriously and take heed to God's plan in His church.
